Coffee Afternoon

Thursday 12th October 2017

On Thursday 12th October, Year 6 lead a Macmillan coffee afternoon in St.Wilfrid's School hall. At the coffee afternoon there was a staggering £680 raised in one hour. It was all thanks to year six, Miss Willdig, Miss. Donald, Mrs. Husted and Mrs. Taylor.

There were multiple ways in which we raised money: raffles, drinks and many cakes were made. Most people had made cakes e.g. cookie monster cakes, jam tarts, fairy cakes and cakes. There were still many amounts of money that came from leftover cakes which were sold the next day, at tuck.

It was a very busy afternoon with lots of people coming in and out. It was made even more special because it was St. Wilfrid's feast day. Most of the people were from the community or they were parents of children in the school.
