Voucher Scheme for lunches

1st April 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have now received supermarket voucher codes from Birmingham LA for those families who claim free school meals.

You are eligible to claim free school meals for your child, up to the age of 19 years, if you (or your child) get one of the following:

  • Income support
  • Income-based Jobseeker Allowance
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Universal Credit

You will have already registered with BCC and our school office has your details.

We will be emailing the parental guide of how to download and use these vouchers along with the digital evoucher codes. This will enable you to choose which supermarket you wish to use and you must spend your full cheque value at once. Parents/carers then complete the form with their email address and submit the order.

There is an allowance of £15 per child and these vouchers are intended to help with food over the Easter holidays. They are valid for 3 months.

Please ensure that school has a current email for you so that we can ensure that you receive the vouchers.

We will start to email the codes out to families from Thursday 2nd April 2020.

If you have not had your voucher codes from us by Monday 6th April, please contact the school office on 0121 675 3319.

All supermarkets have exclusions including alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets and fuel - funds must be spent on essential supplies for children free school meal purposes.
